History

The inspiration came while I was the Catholic Campus Minister at McDaniel College, in WestminstFrBrianer, Maryland in 2002.
Many of the college students had a lot of questions and misconceptions about the supernatural world and life after death. The image of “the dead” and the afterlife was very much on their minds and in the media during the month of October. Through prayer, reflection and research, the idea of a “Cemetery Walk”, teaching the faith in a creative way, took form.

By the grace of God and with the help of others, over the past few years, the “Cemetery Walk” has developed into an effective evangelization tool for young people and adults alike. This “evangelization drama” has begun to spread to college campus and youth ministries in Maryland and around the country including the states of North Carolina, Illinois, Massachusetts, Washington and New Jersey.

In 2005, I along with Doug Jackson founded Kolbe and Clare Productions. We will be working on a multimedia version of the “Cemetery Walk” to be released sometime in the future. In the meantime, we invite you to listen to the Preview.

All material is rooted in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Sacred Scripture and Tradition, and the lives of the saints. Creative license in the presentation is used to help the truths of the faith come alive.

In 2014, Most Rev. Archbishop William Lori, Archbishiop of Baltimore, gave his Imprimatur for the Back From the Dead Cemetery Walk material. Msgr. Steven P. Rohlfs, Rector of Mount St. Mary's Seminary has given his nihil obstat for the material.

May this “evangelization drama” be used for the greater glory of God to bring many people to have “a holy fear of things they should be afraid of, and a great love of Heaven.”

St. Maximilian Kolbe and St. Clare, pray for all those pass by this way!
